Cost-efficient Phosphorus removal in rural WWTP

PhosWaM | Publikation | Bach, Fluss, Übergangsgewässer/Ästuar

Vorschau

It is generally agreed that increased Phosphorus fractions (P) in the aquatic environment lead to eutrophication of the water body and should therefore be eliminated in waste water treatment plants (WWTP). Generally effluent values for P are in EU only defined for large WWTP. The central question that motivates this paper is the reduction of P in small WWTP, here, for the case study of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
