Low-cost recyclable filter media for phosphate elimination

The objective of the study is to find appropriate low-cost filter media, which is able to bind phosphate without water quality deterioration and afterwards recycled. The specific tasks of the presented study are limited to the background investigations and include (i) choice of the low-cost material; (ii) laboratory experiments to define the sorption capacity in a range of phosphate concentration; (iii) test of the material on emission of pollutants.
