Das Mikroimpedanz Sensor System (MSS) ist ein vollautomatisierter Echtzeitbasierter online Biomonitor zur quantitativen Messung von Bewegungsaktivität und Überleben von aquatischen Kleinsttieren (ca. 1mm). In GroundCare wurde das MSS mit Eucyclops serrulatus durch ökotoxikologische Tests im Labor kalibriert und validiert (Gerhardt, A. 2018). Das MSS eignet sich auch für die Anwendung von frühen aquatischen Larvenstadien, die im allgemeinen als sensitiver gelten als adulte Wassertiere. Kontinuierliche online ökotoxikologische Tests mit dem Biomonitor erlauben raschere und empfindlichere Datenauswertungen in Echtzeit. The Microimpedance Sensor System (MSS) is a fully automated online biomonitor for quantitative recording of locomotor activity and survival of aquatic animals of small size ( 1mm). In Groundcare the MSS was calibrated and validated in laboratory ecotoxicological tests using Eucyclops serrulatus (Gerhardt, A. 2018). The MSS can also be used with early life stages of all aquatic animals, as those might be more sensitive than adults. Continuous online ecotoxicological tests in the biomonitor allow for faster and more sensitive  data evaluation in real time.
